Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve wines are handcrafted from the finest grapes of the vintage, focusing on our premier estates in Rutherford, Carneros and other Napa Valley appellations. For more than 100 years, Beaulieu Vineyard has set the benchmark for rich, classic Napa Valley wines. Our legacy honors the marriage between state-of-the-art technology and gentle, traditional winemaking methods, a combination that enhances the expression of our remarkable vineyard terroir.

Winemaker's Note

The grapes for this Reserve Pinot Noir were meticulously scrutinized, every cluster being our highest quality fruit. We fermented the Pinot Noir reserve wine-lots in small stainless steel and oak vats, using gentle pump-overs and punch-downs to re-submerge the caps of flavor-rich skins. In-barrel malolactic fermentation rounded the acidity, while aging in French oak barrels integrated and developed the wine’s flavors.

Vineyard Note

This is our finest Pinot Noir, which we’ve selected from our Los Carneros estate vineyards in the southern reaches of Napa Valley. These reserve-quality grapes came from the sections of our BV Ranches No. 8 and No. 5 that yielded impeccably balanced Pinot Noir with abundant personality. A selection of Dijon clones perfumed the wine with floral and vibrant red-fruit notes, while Pommard clones enhanced the wine’s dark-fruit flavors, structure and minerality.
