Our Pinot Noir Rosé is sourced exclusively from our Estate Vineyard in Carneros at Grace Benoist Ranch. The cooling influences of the San Pablo Bay and Pacific Ocean allow for delicate maturation of the grapes and retention of the bright flavors. This distinctive wine features Pinot Noir grapes which are grown specifically to showcase the attributes we desire in our Rosé—fresh aromatics, vibrant flavors and natural acidity.
Crisp and elegantly dry, traditionally salmoncolored turning to brilliant light pink, this Pinot Noir Rosé offers aromas of fresh strawberries, blood orange, cherry and cranberry with notable flavors echoing the aromas, including citrus notes and cold juicy watermelon. The wine is bright with vivacious acidity, a mineral lift, nicely rounded mid-palate and a persistent finish. Light and refreshing, the wine conjures memories of Marsanny wines blessed with California sunshine.
While often thought of as an ideal warm-weather wine, rosé is now gracing tables year-round, with the complexity to stand up to rich, ample dishes.

Overall, 2017 proved to be a slightly smaller yielding vintage but one of exceptional quality. A brief
period of warm weather occurred during Labor Day weekend which accelerated the harvest in some
areas. Temperatures subsided just when we needed and the fruit was allowed to mature and ripen
perfectly on the vines before harvest officially began. Overall, a quick and intense harvest, with all
the fruit picked within two to three weeks, but the quality of the vintage shows great flavor intensity,
perfect ripening and maturity, lovely balance and complexity.
This distinctive wine was crafted with Pinot Noir grapes that are grown specifically to showcase
the attributes we desire in our rosé. Handpicked at night, the grapes are brought to the winery and
gently whole cluster pressed while the fruit is still cool, being careful to have minimal skin contact.
The juice was transferred to older French oak barrels and fermented under cool temperatures. The
wine is then aged sur lie (on the lees) for four months, with no malolactic fermentation, to preserve
crisp acidity and high toned delicate aromas.
